Attachments

We are attached to different things in life. Some have a need to be linked to power, wealth and prestige. Others have the need for family, friends, community, life. Life gives us choices in what we embrace. I personally choose the warmth of relationships with family and the connection of community. Its a matter of what’s important and putting priorities in order.

Sometimes

Sometimes you just gotta wonder

Sometimes you shake your head

Sometimes life can hand you a raw deal

Sometimes you are blessed beyond measure

Sometimes people make mistakes

Sometimes they get away with doing horrible things.

Sometimes life doesn’t make sense

Sometimes you need to run away screaming

Sometimes we need a break

Sometimes its time to pack it in

Sometimes you want a fresh start

A Personal Response

Sometimes when a post is “liked” it doesn’t always mean that you like the fact someone is in distress or is in emotional need. It can be an acknowledgement that you have read the post and care about that person.

Feedback is the lifeblood of a creative person and when someone responds to you it means your message is being heard. Hopefully the community will offer support and love to you. A post that is written from the heart can mean a lot to people on both ends.

I wish there were more personal posts in the blogosphere, its way more interesting than seeing celebrities and that sort of thing. Text, pix, audio and video, whatever it is. Keep on blogging friends.

All Things New

Change is a constant in the universe. New things come to all of us. Life is in a perpetual state of renewal and reinvention.

People have the need for change which means they have to leave us and go other places for other opportunities. Other people leave because they are ready to retire from their work and want to slow down their lives.

So many things around me are changing, some for the better, others I question why. Part of change is having to establish new relationships with new people and places and things.

Students will be changing their situation for the summer and some for life as they go on to seek a career or to begin families. Friends, fear not.

Transition means going from one state to another. Life to death, employed to unemployed, leaving one job to take another. I hope the state of grace is in its fullness throughout the journey.

Change is real and it is not easy. Lives change by choice while others change because of circumstances. So as all things are made new remember to hold fast to your faith, your life’s philosophy, your family and friends. Remember we are all changing together.
