Love and Hate, at least to me are the two most powerful words in the world. The emotions behind the words can do amazing things. We have seen examples of what love and hate will do to people and our world.
Love according to Huey Lewis and the News is a powerful thing that will make a man weep and make another man sing love can make a person do amazing things. Hate on the other hand can make a person do very bad things.
Many times he will do those things on behalf the things he loves. We all have a choice to love and a choice to hate. People have the capacity to love and hate at the drop of a hat. We all must decide for ourselves which we want to do. Love and hate are choices we all make daily. It takes more of us to love than it does to hate something. Hate takes no courage when you think about it.
Showing love is the greatest thing we can do for each other and our world. Frankly we need less hate, life is too short good people.
Friends, we are shopping for a new cell phone carrier. Who do you use, how much do you pay, do you have any problems with them?
It’s important for each of us to have something that centers our lives. Having a fixed point to give direction is important. People can feel lost when that one thing that keeps us focused is no longer there. We have all felt a little lost from time to time when those familiar things disappear. As our communities change through growth, transitions and disasters the familiar icons we have seen all our lives no longer look the same.
For me God has been that centering point in my life. For others it can be friends. It’s like The Doctor in Doctor Who needs his TARDIS and a companion to keep him from flying off course. Having a community of support is vital. Its important to have something, someone, someplace that doesn’t change much in your life. My wife, who loves me, keeps me on track when I need it.
The people of Oklahoma, The Jersey Shore, New Orleans and the other places are having to reshape their communities after disasters. Things like schools, businesses, hospitals, favorite places to eat are no longer there or are very damaged. For them they face long time of rebuilding and reshaping the places they call home.
Without those boundaries and familiar places we have felt a little uneasy, confused, disoriented. Everyone needs that fixed point in life to keep them from going off course. So much in life has change, and as time goes on there will be more change. Coping with that change can show us a little of who we are. I know lots of people who pine over the good old days while others are all about the new.
Friends, planet Earth is a chaotic place to live. I hope you will all find peace and that one thing that anchors you.
Whatever is going on with you this week I hope its good. May your troubles and cares be washed away. Hang in there and have peace. We are all in this together. Living can be a full contact sport sometimes.
So how much will it take for Yahoo to buy itself a stake in Hulu? According to a new report from AllThingsD, at least $600 million. Citing “numerous sources close to the situation,”
“Tell how you feel about water; playing in it, seeing it, using it. What do you feel when near bodies of water?”
Water is necessary, its a part of us, it sustains life, it moves earth, it cleanses, it purifies. I enjoy swimming in it, bathing in it, relaxing in it. Water can inspire me and gives me perspective on my life. I use water as a part of everyday life to prepare meals, clean our home. We use it to hydrate our bodies and keep us going. The fascinating thing about it is that it comes from nature. Its Hydrogen and Oxygen coming together like a partnership, a marriage. Water can be good for the Earth but it can also be an inconvenience when there is too much of it. Water can also be destructive to life and property.
Next to water I feel humble, grateful for what it gives, I feel calm and peaceful. When I was at the beach once I was in a picture of me in the Atlantic Ocean and it made me feel like I was going against this massive body of water. I have been in water when it tried to carry me away in its riptide. Living near the water is fun. Its a part of life where I live.

Today my wife had some packages delivered. One of which was reversed in shipping and had to be re-sent. Our delivery person drove up to our house which isn’t easy to find always and brought the packages personally. She gave a full explanation of what happened and for that we are grateful. People say some bad things about the United States Postal Service but today was one of those situations that we received excellent service and our delivery person was a pro.
I am not keen on reincarnation but if I am allowed to dream a little with the possibility of it being a reality then I would like to come back as a British rock star. Someone between David Bowie and Rick Astley. I like David’s edgy side but Rick is a little more accessible to a wide audience I think. A boy can dream right?
Good evening friends, I hope all is well with you and yours. We have been working around the house getting ready for company after church tomorrow. Its been an all-day thing but we have much to show for or labour. The day has flown by it seems like.
This evening we are chilling out and enjoying a meal and some TV. We will sleep well tonight after all the stuff we have done today.

I had considered starting my blog from scratch recently. After looking at some options I decided to stay put. I have close to 500 followers and I am close to 5000 posts so making a change wouldn’t make sense.
Yes starting over can allow for fresh creativity and a opportunity to have a new focus. However building on what you have can present opportunities.
My readers and followers would have to follow another blog and you have to keep them in mind too. Staying put can be good too.
