Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Memorial Day, Honoring Real Heroes - As we observe this national holiday let us remember those who have served and sacrificed. Men and women of all walks of life came together to wear the uniform of our Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and Coast Guard. Some of these people gave their lives so that we can enjoy all the things that make our country a great nation. May God bless each family that remains and carries on.

Also we remember our police and fire personnel who have given everything in the line of duty in our communities.

Tumblr is an exciting social-blogging site that has people of all ages using its services. A new follower of mine got me to thinking about how many “people of a certain age” are using Tumblr. According to a infographic on Mashable.com there are 31% of users that are 35-49 which is higher than average. There are more men than women using it with a 49-51% breakdown.

My reasoning for focusing on the 35-49 age bracket is because I am 42 and I wanted to see if there were more than just young adults using it. There are 38,000 posts per minute being generated from 33 million plus bloggers generating over 12 billion posts.

Tumblrs growth is staggering from June 2010 to June 2011 it has experienced 218% growth in the US alone.

With numbers like these you cannot ignore the fact that Tumblr is going to be a force to reckoned with. I am sold on it. I think its going to grow into a mature product that will be accepted by a wider audience. Older bloggers with their disposable income potential are needed here to give future advertising partners a reason to invest their dollars here.

I am sticking by Tumblr and I look forward to see where its going to go. Of course competition from Facebook and potential new social-blogging networks will determine where the medium is going.

Good morning and God bless you all this beautiful Sunday.

We are watching Downton Abbey, series 1 episode 4. I cannot say it enough, this is a great show. Support your local PBS station so they can air this great show.
